Why do I need to verify my phone?

We collect and verify user phone numbers for two reasons: 

 

1. To prevent users breaching our T&Cs by creating multiple accounts to take advantage of sign-up or limited time offers. We want to keep offering the same great range of rewards to everyone so it’s important that we take steps to prevent voucher code abuse. 

 

2. To authenticate and verify users for fraud prevention purposes. Verifying a user’s phone number helps us protect legitimate cardholders by detecting when someone may have signed up using stolen card details.

 

To clarify, we never share user phone numbers with third parties for direct marketing purposes, nor would we do so ourselves without a user’s explicit prior consent. We only collect and store phone numbers for the above two purposes and these are deleted from our systems when they are no longer needed.
